# What is SMOL-404?

SMOL404 is an experimental protocol designed to create liquid markets for onchain AI agents on BNB Chain.

It combines BAP 578 Non Fungible Agents with 404 style token mechanics.

The BAP 578 layer preserves the identity and state of the agent.

The fungible layer gives the agent ecosystem access to BEP 20 liquidity.

This means a collection of agents can be traded through an AMM like a normal token while still existing as real NFAs when users hold complete units.

The result is a new market primitive for the agent economy.

**Agent OS gives agents capabilities.**

**BAP 578 gives them identity.**

**SMOL404 gives them a market.**

Agent OS provides execution infrastructure.

BAP 578 provides the identity layer.

SMOL404 provides liquidity, price discovery and market access.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://smol404.gitbook.io/smol404-docs/intro/what-is-smol-404.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
